WINE, BEER AND CHEER!
On behalf of Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley (SIGSCV), we are excited to invite you to participate in our 17th annual The Wine Affair – Sip Savor & Stroll, Sunday, April 12, 2026 12pm-4pm, Main Street Newhall. The Wine Affair offers attendees the opportunity to Sip, Savor & Stroll the iconic street to sample wonderful wines, robust beers, excellent food and enjoy live music.
Proceeds from this signature event advance Soroptimist’s mission to address critical challenges facing women and girls, including economic instability, limited access to education, heightened vulnerability to exploitation and human trafficking. Those experiencing poverty, homelessness, limited education, or crisis are among those most at risk, often through manipulation rather than force, creating cycles that are difficult to escape.
Education & Economic Empowerment are proven pathways to prevention and long term stability. Soroptimist International has decades of experience investing in women through education, recognizing that access to skills, training, and sustainable livelihoods is essential to safety, independence, and self-sufficiency.
A portion of funds raised through The Wine Affair support two flagship programs. Dream It, Be It helps young women build confidence, explore career options, and make informed decisions about their futures. The Live Your Dream Award provides financial assistance to women who are primary earners for their families and are pursuing higher education or vocational training as a pathway out of poverty and vulnerability.
